I think it is fair to say that we are seeing the dawning of a new era now.

Graeme Dott has Napoleon syndrome. I believe that's where most of his famed tenacity and confrontational demeanour comes from.

With the exception of the first four frames of this evenings session, this match has not been pleasant viewing.
I’m hoping the next final will be played between two higher quality players. I’d take every final being between Ronnie and Judd, rather than watching this sort of final again.

Nah - buck that.
I like seeing different players.
If only Mark and Jimmy hadn't been drawn together we could be watching them in the final next week

First tap on the table from Kyren, 16.5 frames into the match.

I suppose I have been a bit harsh on Kyren.
He ain't great to watch and his position is dodgy at times but he has minerals and he has pulled out some stunning pots.
He deserves to win.

I find Kyren interesting to watch largely because of his poor positional play.
If he tightens that up he'll become boring to watch.

Gilbert needs a mental coach.
And I don't mean a Sunshine Bus

Gilbert went from 9-5 to 9-10 in the World Open final, and now went from 7-5 to 7-9 in Germany. Yikes...

You are correct that he has made few mistakes but he has carried himself poorly since the MSI.
Do you not think he had the air of a man accepting his fate?

Actually no I haven't got that impression.
If it weren't for an outrageous piece of luck for Kyren and a poorly timed mobile phone, Gilbert could have won.
I don't think he's looked resigned at all.
