When you cant dish the table up when Ross split the reds and had them all on his mercy then sry you are not good enough to compete at the highest level.
Why did he stun the red in and not follow through which led to the semi difficult blacm at first place?

Ronnie and Hendry always have high expectations and want players to play at the very high level they do/did.
But ROS and Hendry are/were two exceptional players which we might never see again. They don't represent the normality or your average Top 16 pro.
Ronnie could easily retire and play Snooker legends and get the same buzz.
Basicly Ronnie wants to play invitational every week ....thats why he does well in World Grand Prix, Players Championship they are ranking events that feels like invitational... the problem for him he has to play in other events and play well to get in to them.

Yes.
Ronnie hates playing "numpties". He only wants to play players he considers good enough.
Always thought that was the wrong attitude.

Well hes obviously good enough hes in the last 16 and pushed Mark Allen to a decider. yea he does it by grinding but theres nothing wrong in that you do the best you can and been a pro for 6 years there are numpties on tour no doubt but Ross is not one.

At least Hendry admits that he never watches snooker unless he's getting paid.
Yesterday we were discussing tweets Ronnie posted going; "Ooooh, look all the big names are out, how exciting."
Now he's posting. "Players sometimes have to play qualifiers. It's not fair. I want to play Higgins every day. Waaah! Numpties."
I loved that you pulled him up on Twitter replying to his post from yesterday asking what had changed. Hahahaha

That's Jimmy's issue. Spends so much time flying in practice then can't deal with the jetlag come matchday.

What a result for Snooker Island fan Jimmy Robertson. I was in his snooker hall and his mum was reporting the results to us. Really pleased for him and hope he can shake the nerves he gets in later stages.
Great work Jimmy

Mark Allen weighs on this 'issue'.
Mark Allen @pistol147
I find it hard to get up for most matches these days cause you know there’s another one in a few days anyway. Sometimes less is more
Bunch of absolute bellends. It's like they've forgotten what the tour was like under Rodney Walker, when there was less than one event a month. They were complaining about being part-time professionals then.
Nobody is forcing them to enter every tournament if they think there's too many now. If Mark Allen can't get up for playing snooker, what's he doing being a snooker player?

If Allen us fed up with playing week in week out, then he should miss some tournaments like Ronnie does.
Yes he could say if he does that his ranking might suffer... but the answer is quite simple: in the ones that you do enter, you should make the most to do well in those.
This is what Ronnie does and why he's in the Top 5 despite playing few events.

Look the only way you will get rid of players like Ross Muir is cut the tour to 64 players.
With a 64 Man tour you can not justify Jimmy White being on tour is that what Ronnie wants?

For me the tour should be 64 players. 128 is a bit too much.

Ronnie wants six players on tour.
Himself, Jimmy, Mark Selby, John Higgins, Stephen Hendry and Ding Junhui.
That's it.
