After so many losses, he finally managed to beat O'Sullivan in a big match.

Hopefully Ronnie wins a 4th ranking event title in the same season, something he's not done in his career. And all that at 42 years age. Like a fine wine, better with age.

Imagine Ding won by beating Selby and Ronnie.
I don't think he will, mind.

Previous Ronnie vs Ding matches I've attended.
The Welsh Open final 2014.
The 2012 Masters.
When they played at the 2007 Crucible, I was sat on the other table watching Davis vs Parrott.

That would be so great for Ding's confidence. We might see him play his A game again if he wins this.

I'm a fan of both players so come on Ronnie and Ding!
If there's one player I don't mind Ronnie losing to it's Ding! He's so great to watch when he's playing his best and it's about time he starts playing like himself again.

As usual bookies taking no chances and Ronnie is 4/9 favourite with Ding a juicy 7/4.
I see it much closer. I'd make Ronnie ever so slight favourite, taking into account his very favourable head-to-head record v Ding. Ron at 4/5 would be a fairer reflection, maybe.
My final prediction, Ronnie 10-8.

I wanted Ronnie-Ding since the semis were announced, not because I wanted Ronnie to avoid Selby but because Ronnie and Ding always have pretty good matches except the odd occasion when Ronnie destroys him.
Also of course I want Ronnie to win, but I'd be happy enough to see Ding lift the trophy.
