Better scoring in this one. Nice to see the format mix up. Criteria for qualification a bit odd though. Shoot out ffs...

Riga Masters, first tournament of the season.
Not surprised you dont remember, you hardly remember a tournament the week before...
And I would remember. But I was at a family wedding that weekend. Was so annoyed, it was the first tournament of the season, and I missed it.

excellent performance from Day. Hamilton-Day now. Two players who had been regarded as the best two players never to win a title. Now both are ranking event winners.

4:2. Day made two centures and two 70+ breaks. Was great to watch.

I love it. Two players lower down the ranking, taking the opportunity to be in a prime time slot.

ITV4 analysing the weight of the player's cue. BBC need to do more of this. Rather than just talk rubbish.

An interesting opening afternoon. Day played some very good stuff.
Think Day has to be favourite for tonight's group final - probably 6-3 or 6-4 ish.
That said given how the rest of the group's gone it'll probably wind up being Hamilton who wins.

They mentioned in commentary this afternoon that Hamilton always seems to miss a pot by hitting it too thick

Phil Yates is the weak link in ITV punditry, in my opinion.
