I used to find it a bit of a chore to watch Barry Hawkins play but over the last couple of years i've come to rather enjoy his style. He really does hit the ball beautifully when on song.
Mark Williams rejuvination has been great to see. He seems to be playing as well as ever after fallibg away for many years. He has his own unique style. Never hurries and hits the balls so softly at times but with dead eye accuracy. A smooth operator amongst the balls with a velvet touch.
Going to be an interesting game. I have a slight fancy for the Hawk but dont mind who wins.

Williams would become the first top 16 player to reach a World final after failing to qualify the previous year. The other two players are Murphy and Trump but were not seeded at the time.

Come on MJW.
Hawkins played well against Ding but I'd say MJW was more impressive against Carter.
If his long/difficult pots stay on song he'll come through.

One thing's for sure, Williams won't give up if he goes a few frames behind like Ding did.

I don't think h2h means anything here, cause they have played mostly in the championship league or in other short formats. Also - Hawkins is a different player at the Crucible. But if I had to pick between him and Ding, I would have chosen Barry. I expect an open and attacking game with lots of big breaks. Both of them are scoring really well at the moment, MJW had 4 centuries against Carter.
