Best: Crotch grabbing Lisowski getting drubbed.

Worst: Watching Trump trying tactical brilliance.

Best: Ding's first session against McGill.

Worst: Ronnie and Ali's handbags routine, amd watching people act like it was an event of intense historical significance.

Best : champion crashing on day 1

Even better : Ronnie going out, opening up the whole tournament

Still better : 4 evenly matched QFs

Worst : Higgins 13 Lisowski 1
Ding 13 McGill 4

Don’t like one-sided matches.

Most disappointing : Trump reeling off 5 frames v. Walden when I thought it was heading for a final frame shootout

Best Higgins 146

Worst Hearn press conference promising more money to the also rans so they can maybe feed their families. Wow an extra grand for winning their first round game in the World Championships...still none for losers. Yet an extra Invitaion tournament for the Top 8 this time, really why Top 32, Top 16 then Top 8?? It becomes boring. There is already another Top 16 (Masters) and that Champions League drawn out affair. An extra £75,000 for winning the World Championship. Is this really needed to boost Mr Hearn's ego and pretend their is loads of money in snooker? Other invitaions' coming to Shanghai by the sounds of it Lisbon as well, hopefully the Romanian one will be upgraded. It is all a bit top heavy.

He has done an excellent job but more money is needed at the bottom rather than the top now.

Those shot clocks will only end up penalising the poor as well. Another gimmick. They take longer because their positioning is not as precise and the lack of cash they earn puts them under immense pressure.

He promised to increase prize money for second and third round losers in all events, not just the Worlds. You're complaining about something that he is adressing

Tou are correct of course. But I am assuming the £1,000 World Championship is the highlight of this.

Take for example you win the China Championship in September:
You win say £150,000 (+increase next year)+World GP(£5,000min)+Players(£10,000min)_Champion of Champions+the new Tour Championship+Champions League likely entry+Masters likely entry+Shanghai likely entry+Lisbon(??).

Probably a minimum of another £50,000 on top of the tournament winnings. Surely the spread could be fairer in the tournament for those struggling to make a living. His obsession in copying Golf is all fair except that Golf and tennis are awash with many times the money that Hearn can offer.
