This is a very specific request. What if Selby never makes another final?!

He's made 4 already, and he's a crucible specialist, but the chances of meeting Ronnie again in a WC final is slim odds, too many banana skins.

Plus sometimes it's not even up to them... they could meet in the Semis for instance.

Ronald hasn't been proved it on the table, so you are desperately searching for quotes from people within the game to compensate for defeats when 'yer man' couldn't take the pressure. By the way, the ability to withstand pressure is more important than knocking in centuries against 'numpties'.

This is why 'Brexit' happened.......

I'm not searching for anything. I just randomly found this article and wanted to share it here. Please stop hating Ronnie so much, it's embarrasing. Relax. He's just a snooker player.

Did you miss 2014 UK final when Trump was coming back like a mad man against him?

Ronnie doesn't need to prove anything. Also you think someone who has won 60 titles in his career hasn't taken on pressure? I mean I know Ronnie is very very good but he's not that good that he isn't going to face pressure. You giving too much credit to Ronnie!

In 100 years time; if the world is still here, and snooker is still popular, and still being played, the record books will be consulted and there will be no mention of who played 'pretty snooker'. The age of 'fanboyism' will thankfully be dead..... In fact a player called Xi Chi Caoi from Beijing would have won 23 world titles by then and the names of Hendry and O'Sullivan will be long forgotten. Watch this interview, Higgins giving out heaps of praise for Ronnie. He was so inspired by Ronnie's play last night that he picked up the cue last night otherwise he was going to do it today lol

I really want to like Higgins. I wish the Kiev incident hadn't happened. It was gutting for the sport of snooker and all it's fans.

"Ronnie O'Sullivan is the greatest snooker player who ever lived. There is no need to have a World Championship every year because winning that event means nothing up against performing a few circus tricks on the baize."

Has he not won the World Championship?

Question is would Ronnie have won all these tournaments recently if Stuart Bingham hadn't have been banned on a bunch of trumped up charges? Surely there's an argument to be made about putting an asterisk next to Ronnie's recent wins? :chin:

He didn't beat Selby in any of them so they don't count.

There are 2 ways to become the greatest. Either win the most world titles, or failing that, rely on plaudits from fanboys....

What if he wins the most, but doesn't beat Selby in a final?

At the moment, all you can say is that using the current financial system of ranking players Ronnie is the second best player in the world to Mark Selby,

Or you can say that he was a better player than Shaun Murphy on Sunday but he was not better than Shaun a couple of weeks back.

Does that mean he's improved in the last few weeks?

What's the opposite of decline?
