How do you get better at something?
By doing it.

Well, I can't get worse than a break of 0, I suppose.

I was being facetious with my previous comment, btw.
It was meant as a dig to the snobs who think they know better just because they play the game. It's not just snooker either, I've seen it in other sports too.

Yes, yes you can. You can go in-off the reds on the break and make -4.
WHERE'S THE CUE BALL GOING!

No, I'm a very good player - or I was, at least. That was my only break over 140 though.

Savey-baby, play the game. First paragraph just about sane, and then drift off into nonsense.

Lolz. I remember Clive Everton describing Mavis as 'somewhat of a six reds specialist' which made me giggle.
Davis has THREE world titles at six reds, and calling him a specialist is not ridiculous. He is excellent at clearing up when everything's in the open, as happens very often in six reds. His weakness is in developing a break when there's anything awkward, which is why he hasn't been as successful in 15 reds.
Yes, I remember Clive asking a fellow commentator if he knew any particular reason why Mavis seemed so good at six reds and the other commentator saying he didn't. I raise this exchange because I think that one of the reasons people don't value six reds snooker more is they've encouraged by commentators and other pundits to view it as being nothing more than half of a proper game of snooker. The idea that the skill set has changed slightly, that certain snooker skills are magnified in importance and others diminished in importance needs to be promoted more. Six reds is a great form of snooker and a refreshing alternative to the traditional!

There´s 6 reds at the table. That´s why.
The answer still seems to be a much more simple than they always think it could be.
An impressive starts to both Michael White and Mark Williams.
I wonder what would JON RONSON think about that ??
The great thing about this is the tactical side. Some people know they are going down so they can they can take their opponent down too. That´s a professional job. I mean putting the black and even one red out of the play might help. Knowing that on the day can´t pot it all but at least an opponent won´t be getting anything too easy either. That´s the way it should always be. Those are just the safeties some people might prefer to play. So don´t get in there. The more you are out of your comfort zone, the more well you mentally are. But just don´t be a daft if you just getting bited.

Alex says it's on Eurosport, but he might be thinking of the World Cup.

Not on the Eurosport Player? You could just google for live streams? They might not be the most legal thing.
