Johnny - you post some great stuff but what has Selbo done to upset you?
At the moment, he is a better player than anyone else, so enjoy it and be glad we have interesting rivalries at the top of the list.

That's because Selby has played like 2 tournaments yet he still won the biggest comp this season far

Of course he is. 3 ranking titles, plus 2 other finals tells me pretty much who been the player of the season thus far. Anyone who thinks otherwise is just deluded really and another hater.

Actually it's not. Someone who says that Ronnie hasn't been the best player this season until now must really hate him.
It's just how it is Wild.

Who was the best player last season at this point then?
Oh yeah... a certain Mark Selby, who had won the PHC, IC and UK. 3 rankers, albeit one of them a minor one. Ronnie's won 3 as well, including the UK.

When I was a kid, we were always being asked in German to write letters to a fictional pen pal. (To demonstrate our abilities to write in German.)
I got in trouble because I named mine Adolf.

Jimmy Robertson will face Hamilton or Mann at the Last 32. So, he has a good chance to run deep in the tournament, considering Hamilton's recent format due to his back problems and that he will take the No 1 draw.

I don't have nothing against Selbo the man, I simply don't like Selbo the snooker player. I don't think he plays the game properly.
As 4 the best player in the game, that's Ronnie by a country mile. Selbo can't play to the same standard as Ronnie.
Ronnie has that little extra magic compared to any other player.
The same can be said about Efren Reyes in pool.

I don´t know if this is so much as a "German Masters" as this last 64 are also played in Barsnley!
So Peter Ebdon has won the war.. Wow, would have never believed it would last longer than just a few days. The people been fan-boys and firls of Peter. That´s great from Peter!! Now he is facing Graeme Dott.
I watched that Shaun vs Cao match and need to say Shaun was bit of on a receiving end. I felt I once again fluked it correct as I had some money on Shaun. But that was a mistake. Shaun just accidentally lived up to his famous nickname.
But that´s the old gambling trick. From the Casinos´s or wherever; play something you don´t find profitable but fluke it right, and do that many times on the trot, and guaranteed you will feel heavenly. Getting out of the jail. With some great money. That´s the oldest gambling trick and flair from the book. I know I should do something more constructive, which I most of the time also do, but just an odd mistakes every now and then. The result or the results won´t be telling if something is a mistake or not. You just need to analyse it afterwards with some self-critics. Obviously just not been too self-critical, like I have previously pointed out many times. No need to be self-critical at all if there´s no fault. But if there is, be.
Not too many upsets. If that will be story of 2018, I need to review my vision. I used to follow the game called the snooker or the tennis when there basically weren´t any upsets. The people have been telling that´s the case right now also but I don´t think it quite is. It might be soon. And then I would be in big troubles. I wish all the great tactics and using everything they are having from the many players won´t be just trashed.
Jimmy W also lost. But that was a mind-blowing victory to him over the supreme Anthony McGill. It really was. I feel Jimmy and Robin Hull at least are the two players capable to upsets the odds. At least every now and then. It depends how motivated they are, how their preparations have been, what they have been eating.. They have it, the potential to upsets the odds but it slightly depends from those things.

I feel it is a bit 'now or never' for Jimmy. He should be doing better than he has done. Maybe this time...

I'm wondering if it's worth going to see some qualifiers in Barnsley next season.
Barnsley weren't all that, to be fair. As a town. But decent enough venue, and the hotel had a nice pub bit attached.

How old is he? Look at players like Hawkins, Bingham and Mavis who came good later in their 30s and in Mavis’s case 40s
