Tian Pengfei becomes the 13th Chinese player to reach the QFs of a ranking event, and the fourth new one this season.
He becomes the 9th player to reach his maiden ranking QF this season.
Now 197 players have reached a ranking QF.

You won't see the likes of Li Yuan or Tian Pengfei in the last 8 of the UK or the Worlds, or any other big tournament for that matter. The only reason they are here is because the big guns couldn't be fussed.

Can i remind you in 2015 David Grace reached a UK Semi final.
His best result ever in ranking tournament so the likes of Li Yuan and Tian Pengfei could easily do the same in York

It might not be those guys but it could be Zhou, Xu, Zhang, Ding, Liang, Li Hang, Xiao, Yu Delu. The Chinese are here to stay

Pengfei would be able to reach last 8 of both. Never seen Yuan play.
