In other more important news. Li Hang looks like he might overturn Williams as well. What a session.

Yeah sry for that. But the frustration added up.

Federer gave me such joy this year. Will stick to that. Have no expectations from Ronnie's side until he turns the corner and solves this choking problem. Its okay to experience it 2 time the max. But since last years Holt loss at the PC till todays loss how many losses which ended dramatic I had to go through. Too many.

Hawkins, Wilson, Holt many times, Brecel, King, Mark Davis

At some point its too much.

Will watch the US Open the coming weeks. Hope Federer does it. If not he had a historic season nevertheless.

Brecel has no cue ball control. He will never be a top 8 player. O'Sullivan appeared to give the match away. Maybe he hates being in China on Mondays?

Trump has no cue ball control and he is in the top 8. He is only 22 ffs

On the plus side, he appeared in three other finals. He very narrowly lost to Trump in the European final.

Very true. It's been slowly happening since last year, but many of the commentators aren't or should I say admitting it.

How is there a plus side to losing 3 finals in a row ?. I'd rather he had not reached them at all rather than losing them

How was his game in decline in 2014. He won the Masters, the UK and lost in the World final that year. That is nonsense to say that. It has only been the last year since the start of last season it has really set in.

Exactly. It wasn't in decline.

But there were people on this site claiming that he was, even that far back.

We've been taking the snake hiss out of his 'fans' who have been shouting 'decline' for years.

Because his game was obviously still there. Losing a final to an odd frame is better than losing your game completely.

Don't agree he was unlucky against Trump but bottled the other two and don't forget Hong Kong that is 4 finals lost out of 5. A worrying trend. 5 out of 6 if you include the CL final to Trump. I'm beginning to think he is losing his nerve in big finals

every player reaches decline nothing you can do to stop it.

at least in decline and the age he is in its a pretty good record that he still plays in finals pretty consistently.

Apparently it's better to be knocked out in the first round, than get to the final.
