Don't think he's alright mentally after that loss. It was arguably the worst defeat of his career. Yet.
Not a fan of his but genuinely felt sorry for him. Embarrassing performance and got dragged of for slow play when he's meant to be the new exciting player.
New is pushing it. He's been a top player for six years now.

To that I say: literally any one of them + Dennis
Davis I can live with. Willie Thorne, John Parrott, Dennis Taylor or John Virgo. They are the hammers.
If you're talking about non BBC commentators, then I suggest Phil Yates. You could combine the commentators I mentioned, times their annoyance by 1000, and you'd get somebody who was approximately 27% as annoying as Phil Yates.

I think Robbo was playing better the year before but would have had a big chance with those left in that year.

I can see this being one of those matches where Maguire can get within 1frame/level with Hawkins but can't quite get his nose in front, then ends up losing 13-11/12. Although I'd like to see the lead change hands a few times.

You know what I mean he's meant to fill that gap when Ronnie finally stops.

Yes but his draw in 2014 was a stinker, maybe even the toughest ever

I know many of you wont understand this but just watched a replay of his 146 and not for the first time in the last twenty odd years I shed a tear, when ai see him play like I know that I will never see the like of him again, a one off, a maverick and yes at times frustrating and bloody annoying. But he is who he is because of what he is and how he does it. Effortless, grace, timing and sheer sheer natural talent. For me personally I will be devastaed when he says enough is enough.
The word genius is used too much too often, but for this guy it barely does him justice
Good Evening

Hi there, don't you worry, Ronnie won't go anywhere anytime soon. Snooker is part of his DNA. He will be able to knock in a ton like that even in his 60s with the talent he has. Not consistently anymore of course but once in a while he'll catch a hot streak and the old magic will be back. And until then Ronnie still has some good years in him where he can compete for all the titles.

Aye but the next WSC he played Ronnie in round 1 and a missed black cost him the win
