Great game.
Might I add Northern Hemisphere rugby is far stronger than the Southern Hemisphere right now, New Zealand aside.

Day. All day long.
Hawkins is a ranking event winner. Day isn't.

I'm chomping at the bit for an England New Zealand match.
We beat Australia four times last year. I want a real challenge.

Well, come on then.
How was your trip? Enjoy it? Any good pubs in Preston? How was the Guild Hall?

Enjoyed it and looking forward to the final.
Preston's always had good pubs there's loads but there used to be a lot more.
Guild halls great but there's rubbish all promotion for this around Preston.

Promotion was a big problem when they brought the PTC Finals to Galway (my home city).

Theres big posters on the top floor of the Guild Hall but loads of shops have closed down in there so only people going to events at the guild hall will have seen it.
There's St Georges and Fishergate shopping centres and the high street that get a lot more foot traffic but no advertisements for this.
2-1 Fu

Some towns promote the tournaments better than others, I find.
To be honest, if the hotel bar serves a good pint, I aint fussed.
The big question. All things being considered, would you recommend I visit this iconic venue?

I think it is yes but I think the format for this was a bit rubbish, at least the final is a best of 19.
I do enjoy the qualifiers but that's because I can get a bus and be in Preston in about 20 minutes.

Yeah. I started attending finals more than I used to. For the reason that early rounds are all best of seven.

Day winningg this event wont surprise me too much given what's happened this season.
I still expect Fu to win this one though. Quality opening 4 frames.

If it's Beast mode Barry and peak Fu we are in for a Classic Final.

Is it true Doug Mountjoy's daughter once appeared in Mayfair magazine?
I'm currently investigating on Google.
