Eurosport get a pass because they try. They cover pretty much every snooker tournament, take the time to at least know who every player is and don't pretend their tournaments are more important than ones not on their channel.

Eurosport have never been perfect. The BBC are more polished than Eurosport. But what's the point in being polished, if you treat the sport like rubbish?

You do realize that the BBC is a national broadcaster while Eurosport is a SPORT dedicated channel, do you? Have the thought that your fellow Brits might not be interested to watch snooker all day like you do ever crossed your mind? And PAY for it. Let's bash the BBC for not showing 8 hours of snooker every day. As for the fact they pretend their tournaments are more important, you should be blaming the players who are the first to admit that. But what do they know?

My main gripe is the lack of Red Button coverage. They find a way to put several Wimbledon streams on Red Button. Same as Glastonbury. Same as The Olympics. For snooker, they can't be bothered.

I wouldn't mind bugger all coverage on the main channel, if you get match choice on Interactive.

This is true but a different kind of discussion. My comment was strictly about the commentary on Eurosport and not their general concept on the game. And their commentary has nothing to envy from the BBC. In a bad way.

Hendon and McManus are very good though, and Johnson is far more endearing than the BBC runt team. Hallett

IMO, the only commentators worth listening and they give the match the space needed to breath by not talking their ar.ses off are McManus and Clive Everton on ITV. Hendry used to be good but lately he's like a broken record too.

Hendon is okay. Hallett is okay.

Johnson makes a lot of gaffes, but at least knows who the lower ranked players are. Unlike the BBC. He seems a nice guy.

Foulds is excellent. McManus is also good.

It's really only Yates who us a bit of a knobhead.

The BBC commentary team should envy a match being broadcast in silence, they are that bad.

It's really only Hendry who is good on the BBC, and he's wasted on the channel. He sits there having the hump most of the time, because he's surrounded by muppets. He clearly hates Taylor. He's better to listen to when he's on ITV.

BBC usually produce a few decent dramas a year, Rillington place was fantastic.
