4-4, great match this, never more than 1 frame between them.
ding should have put the frame to bed. happenend to ronnie also. so close but yet so far. dominating a frame but losing it after. a saftey battle

'Ding wants to win this match.'

Ding leads 5-4, making his 4th ton of the match in the process
Wonderful breakbuilding from him. No one has ever done 5 in a Best of 11. Judd came close last season at The Masters v Robbo.

Yates, always speaks really methodically as well. As if every point he's making is profoundly complicated and difficult for the audience at home to understand.
"Ding. Wants. To win.... This Match."

higgins favourite for me. the slighlty less better player in the match does win the match more often.
the 8th frame was key

I think Ding might win the decider.
He's proved in this match he managed to let bad things get out of his head and regroup again.

Looks like the end for Ding. As good as he scored, he made a few key mistakes at important times and that has cost him this match.
Higgins is now winning the matches again, where he looked to be the weaker player. At least statistically. He's like the old typical Higgins again if you like.
Whoever reaches the final (ROS/Allen), will have to play at his best.

I knew it, Higins won
Just joking, I said Ding would win, Higgins proved me wrong, and I'm glad he did, because it's now up to Ronnie to win hs match and we have a dream Final!
A word for Ding though, led in all stats, 4 tons in that match, but still lost. Just proves once more stats are just that, stats. What matters most is who gets the required frames to win first.

Ding played really well, sadly he was in a bad situation in that frame after he made the plant and a red rolled over the corner with no position on a colour.
Both contributed to a fantastic match.

The Higgins vs Ronnie final is on.
Conceivably Higgins could win two tournaments in a row, and it would have no effect on his rankings.

It would on his wallet. The only stat that really matters.

More importantly, he chose the right time to win tournaments, because the last one and this one aren't rankers.
If they were he could be on 30 by tomorrow...

I did say I saw one of them spoil us the dream Final...
Maybe Ronnie will lose, I don't know, obviously hope not. One more big Final between these 2 greats would be lovely.

I daresay, it's the stat Higgins cares about the most.

Dream final my hole. I'm not overly keen on Ronnie, but Higgins even winning a match genuinely pisses me off.
