Sorry, that joke doesn't even make sense. Not one of my best, I apologise.

Clive and Neal. A finer pairing doesn't exist.

Ronnie through.
Played well to lead 2-0, then Hull came back into it, and made some errors for Ronnie to win the 2 more frames he required.
Let's see what he says post-match in the studio...

Agree.
Clive and Hendry wouldnt be bad too. Have they been on the box together?

Not often, but I have a feeling they have been.
I have a vague memory somebody mentioned them together previously on ITV, because I was at work and commented then it didn't happen often.

Ronnie said nothing because he wasn't even at the studio
Gould v Mavis next. Toss of a coin this one, probably favour Gould a tad.

Are they not doing a studio interview now? Or did Ronnie not attend again?

Apparently no studio interviews, we'll see if either Mavis or Gould does after their match.

Hendry seems to enjoy being the co-commentator, not the primary one. The primary commentator has to do the majority of the talking, which I think someone like Joe Johnson or Clive Everton are probably the best around at right now without waffling or going on to talk about golf or some dross equivalent.
Hendry much prefers saying his piece and then being quiet until he feels the need to speak again. I like his timely, blunt assessments of the game.

Maybe they are only doing interviews after the quarters. They went straight to Hendry analysing Ronnie's exhibition shot on the pink in his century, which Hendry belittled by saying 'this is actually a routine shot if you get the side on the ball.' I do like his honesty. Dennis would have had his pants off if it had been him describing that shot.

Frame score is 43 -12 to Gould, with one red left on the table. Which means 35 points left :P
