Ding loses 4-2.
Maybe the big names are all thinking about the 1 million
Robbo and Trump could follow same path who knows...

Personally, I hope some right idiot wins this.
Just so somebody really low ranked is the one we're bigging up as being on for the winning four rankers in a season challenge.

Actually, that would be quite funny. That would annoy a lot of people.

In all fairness, currently there's no player on the campaign having a realistic chance at winning all four tournaments. In my lifetime the players with the mental stamina needed for such a task can be counted in two fingers and they're both retired.
I think the 1 million bonus is pretty cheapie actually. Barry should raise it up to 1 billion, without risking anything at all. Unless the tour players make a deal and spread the prize between them.

Hendry would be seething if that happened. He doesn't like lower ranked players doing anything in tournaments.

It seems that all the top players are vulnerable in first-to-four encounters.
I don't for a moment think that Ding would have lost to Jak Jones over best-of-19, nor Selby against Highfield.
Ditto Ronnie against Chris Wakelin.
Imagine what it'll be like at the Snooker Shoot-Out!
One-frame matches all the way.
To be honest, any professional player who is in that will think they've a chance of landing the title - and a Ranking Event to boot!
(sorry, Wildy, I know you're not 'recognising' that tournament's Ranking Status!)

But he's not playing great in recent times that is a certainty.

Yes Ronnie always on two minds. AT times saying he needs to play more, others saying he's playing too much.
I too expect him to withdraw from Belfast tournament or Scottish Open because the latter is just after the UK.

It's Ricky Walden v Yan Bingtao in the Last-16.
The met in last week's European masters in Romania with Walden winning 4-2.
I agree, Ricky seems to be well-under-the-radar in this, just quietly going about his business!
