I think you did fine. It looks like a fairly common club cue in an 80s/early 90s style (happy to be corrected) but it looks in good order.

Do you have the opportunity to try it out on a proper table?

Dan-Cat I can usually eye ball to see if the cue wobbles. The tip looks 10mm. I have a cheap snooker cue with a 9.5 mm tip I bought. I been shooting once on a snooker table,but most on an English billiards table
