As always, when Ryan Day goes 'deep' into a tournament, thoughts turn to, "could this be the time he finally wins a tournament?!" It'll be tough, though, with Selby in the quarters....
But the other Wales-England match-up is a cracker, MJW v Shaun Murphy!

How enjoyable is watching MJW playing when he's in full form. 2-0 with a marvellous 127.

At last Sam Baird beat Jimmy Robertson 4-3. Good run for him in this event, as he is trying to stay in the tour. Faces Trump next.

Definitely one of the best players to watch when he's playing good. Love the way he floats the balls in.

Mark Selby 0-4 Ryan Day !!
(whisper it, but Ryan Day is on the verge of doing it!) He's been a top professional player for years - it would be fitting if he pulled-it-off and landed this tournament!

He still has to get past Judd probably and then MJW/Murphy.

Just noticed that Sam Baird had won 14 consecutive frames until Jimmy Robertson stopped his run on the previous round.
He just won the first frame of his quarter final against Trump, too.

Stephen Hendry will like this PTC.
Not like the other week. "Lower ranked players winning matches. Waaah!"

First chance MJW but he misses a tricky red and Murphy has his chance now.
