I think the latest finish for a semi was Griffiths vs Charlton in 1979. It wasn't 17-16 though. Thorburn beat Knowles 16-15 in 83. That finished after 1am.

There is no such thing as a grand slam in snooker.
In order to be that way all 4 of those would have to offer equal prize money, plus The Masters is not even a ranker.
