Ding gets the century in a match record. That's what counts, isn't it?

I'm talking overall tournaments, where Hendry 7 in the 1994 UK final.

Maybe having Ding in the final or even the Semi final has put pressure on to Marco Fu to complete a all Asian final

Well, personally I think we should let them drink alcohol and why not have a rule where you can swap one of your toilet breaks for a "going to the bar" break.
Because it's a professional sport. It aint you and your bucking mates.
I like a drink as much as the next man, but this is the World Championships. It's not a jolly.
The televised game was grown off the "characters" on show in the 80's and alcohol consumption was a key part of loosening up those characters so the public could connect with them. It's a serious sport, but never forget that it's fundamentally
*show business*, as Barry Hearn said, this is "Dallas with balls".

Like anybody cares whether they have the century record. It's all about winning the title, not how many 100s you have per match.

Yes, but it should be noted when a person breaks a record. They deserve some recognition for their achievement.

People attack Ding's temperament a lot and I suppose it's justified given some of the matches he's lost but in this tournament he's been very impressive when it comes to running towards the finish line

What the same Barry Hearn who shortened the UK Championship match length, and has best of sevens all over the place?
He's done a lot of good for snooker, but we don't have to agree with everything he says and does.
