That's 2 fairly sweet plants I can remember ROS playing, one last session and one in this session. Not just potting them but position off them.

I always think all plants look easy on a TV screen, but when you try them when they're even slightly off set IRL, they're tough stuff!

Agreed. Very enjoyable match, the standard is sky high. Gilbert's play has probably exceeded anyone's expectations. Pleased for him.

I did say pre match gilbert would play well but come up short

This is a good test for Ronnie.

Believe it or not, last time Ronnie had such a tough opening round match here was in 2010, beating Liang Wenbo then 10-7.

Reminds me of the Gray match in 2000. O'Sullivan playing near his best but not being able to shake off a stubborn opponent.
