Re: Baic Motor China Open Last 128, Wild Card Round and Last

I'm beginning to see how other people feel.

I usually don't care about rankings, if a player turns up in the day and wins, I salute them. I am all for the World Number 11 going out to the World ranked 76 if he's the better player on the day. But dammit, I like Ding. I hate to see him play so badly, that he's lose to players he shoudlnt.

There's some awfully boring / dull about this match. Mind you i've only got one eye on it on the laptop because i'm doing something else, but it feels like Crondon Park for some reason.

Hopefully Ding pulls through.

He's best known for reaching the quarter-finals at the crucible, sometime in the '90s. But that's about the only noteworthy achievement for him - he never made any other quarter-finals before or since.
He's dropped off the tour a couple of times. He's 40 years-old now, the stereotypical 'journeyman'!

I've only just remembered that Robbo has only been in one World Final. Came close in 2014 only to lose out to Selbs in the semis. I'd surprised if he didn't make, or even win, another one.

Ding has never been in one at all.

Selby has been in two.

Dott has been in three.

Jimmy White has been in six.

It's one match a year, the stats aren't always what you'd think.
