Right when Thepchaiya is about to play that final black you can clearly hear the sound of Joyce hitting the ball in the background table. That brat didn't stop playing and played his shot like 0,5 seconds before Thepchaiya made his.

I'm not sure it made a difference, but you're right, the etiquette in that situation is to stop playing.

The table was far away, but FFS couldn't he just stop for a few seconds to let Thep have a full moment of silence before playing that black?
I don't think it's an excuse, but I'm just very happy Poom beat him.
