Luke Simmonds v Thomas J Dowling

Yea that is surprising.

hes not that high up on the Order of merit table either he isnt in the top 30 so will struggle to get places as a top up player although in the Aussie Open with 34 top up spots available he has got a fair chance to play in that but as for the other ranking events highly unlikely unless a lot of top up players declines the invite.

Duane Jones v Zhao Xintong will be one of the great tour qualifying match ups of all time.

Duane has a old head on young shoulders and Zhao Xintong is just mega talented.

this is the only match this Q School where im Gutted its not televised

Yes, it'll be so exciting. It's a pity they can't both qualify here.
Meanwhile Andy Hicks lost 4-3 after leading 3-0

Jason Weston v Kuldesh Johal

both have been on tour before Jason Weston turned pro in 1991 and spent in total 10 seasons on the pro tour Last time was in 2002/2003 season he played one Match on the challange tour in 2003/2004 and then disapered for 10 years until Q School last year where he won just one Match against Filipe Cardoso of Portugal before losing 4-3 to Alex Pagulyan.HE Played one PTC This season losing 4-2 to Gareth Allen so he comes in to Q School this season without much form

Kuldesh Johal turned pro in 2008 and has been on tour twice before dropping off after one season this time he would have a guaranteed 2 years on tour.

Alex Taubman v Gareth Allen

Both these players has never been on the pro tour Alex Taubman made his PIOS Debut in 2007/2008 winning just 3 matches in 8 tournaments and has tried to turn pro ever since a regullar in Q School since the inaugral year in 2011 and has played 31 PTC Events with last 64 his best finish.

Gareth Allen never played in PIOS his first match at this level was a 4-0 win over Hans Blanckaert in the 2010 Paul Hunter classic and followed that win up with a 4-0 win over Alexander Ursenbacher before losing 4-1 to Marcus Campbell in the last 128 he entered Q School and did not win a match in 2011. In 2012 he reached this round in Q School losing 4-2 to Paul Davison. in 2013 as a top up player he made the TV Stages of the Welsh Open losing 4-1 to John Higgins. Last year he won only one Match in Q School a 4-2 win over Richard Somauroo of Mauritius.

Re: Q School 2015

Postby Wildey

Duane Jones v Zhao Xintong

Match of the Event neither have been on tour but Duane Jones has come agonizingly close twice before in 2013 he lost 4-2 to Lee Spick and Last year losing 4-3 from 3-2 up against Chris Melling at this stage.

This is Zhao Xintong first outing in Q School despite entering in 2013 and 2014 but had visa issues so couldn't play but has made a reputation as a giant killer in the Chinese Wild Card round of major ranking events having played no fewer than 12 Ranking Event reaching 3 last 16 winning a astounding 15 Matches in 3 years as a Wild card.

Luke Simmonds v Paul S Davison

Simmonds first turned pro in 2001 and reached a career high ranking of 94 in 2004/2005 but was not enough to keep him on tour 11 years later can he get back on?

and Paul "snowy" Davison a pro for 16 years in total after turning pro in 1992 but he has dropped off 6 times before and in 2012 he could have dropped off again but he stayed on Via Q School can he do that again?
