Thursday 14th of May - Monday 25th of May at the Meadowside Leisure Center in Burton-On-Trent

After an hectic 2014/2015 Snooker season, young and also experienced players will once again try to earn a much desired Main Snooker 2 Year Card via Q School.

With over 160 entries this season, 22 diferent countries from players around the World such as England, Canada, USA, Singapore, China, Russia, Pakistan, Israel, Turkey and Qatar will try their hardest to get that Tour Card.

10 times Ladies World Champion Reanne Evans is amongst those in this vast field, as well as experienced players such as Andy Hicks and Marcus Campbell.

There will be a total of eight two-year tour cards up for grabs, so who shall be those 8 players that will compete on the Main Snooker Tour?

There have been American pool players before on the tour.

Jim Rempe played between 1985 and 1991 and Steve Miserak who played in the World Championship in 1988 and 1989 losing 10-2 to Anthony Harris and 10-1 to Mark Rowing.

its going to be tough for him he won only 2 frames last year, he did enter a Asian PTC This year losing 4-2 to Zhou Yuelong.

Thanks Wildey. It must be weird being at the very top of one variation of cue sports, and then... snake hissing around in the paddling pool of another.

A few withdraws:

Mark Dooley (but that was known at the time of the draw)
Mark Davies
Alex Borg (only shown as withdrawing from event 2, but received a bye in event 1 and his opponent isnt known, so watch this space)

Corey Deuel playing snooker rofl rofl Good luck

I feel this is already big now cause Reanne Evans hopes to win a two-year tour card there. When the next season arrives, now you would finally come to a conclusion that Jimmy has lost his "peoples champion" - status.. Don´t you think so. The way Ronnie O´Sullivan played with his long-potting been a top-notch during the Worlds, it is really a great, great prospect to see him playing again. The longer match-formats the better. And who knows what Reanne can do from on. There certainly has been some hints she could hit the form big time, and her snooker can be so interesting, me thinks. Jimmy White did receive his usual crowd-backing during the last season also, but I certainly see it in a way that he has slightly lose his old sharpness.

The 8 players that qualifies will join the main tour.

In 1996 Stuart Bingham joined the Pro ranks and through hard work and dedication he eventually reached the top. whos to say one of the players in Q School cant do the same im sure Bingham will be a inspiration to everyone that is hoping to make it as a pro for years to come.

Kacper Filipiak lost from 3-0 up!
He's absolutely gone - what has happened? Has he simply not followed up his early promise or did Ronnie put the 'kiss of death' on his career by tipping him as a future World Champ!?

I'm sure Poolboy was referring to Filipiak winning the Euro u21's at the age of 15 or 16. And then beating Higgins, Maguire and Fu at the world cup. At that stage, he looked like the next up and comer. Went to pot after that. He's only 19, so plenty of time to judge whether his early success was the blip or whether his short pro career was.

Yea but he did beat Higgins, Maguire and Fu in a one frame Match.

i did see all of thoes matches and he played well but it was a bit knee jerk to hail him as the next big thing.

its great to see a girl giving Q School a go not much is known of Heather Clare and chances are she wont get close to qualify but if more Girls entered these kind of events playing on equal footing as everyone else then the standards in womans snooker will go up.

Playing this morning is Gene Lam the brother of new tour professional Sanderson Lam.

currently 1-1 with Andrew Milliard

Re: Q School 2015

Lukas Kleckers Turns 19 on Monday Could he be celebrating his birthday with a 2 year tour card.

Without doubt the best prospect theres ever been from Germany and if he made it big. Then Big money sponsors in Germany might sit up and take notice of Snooker.
