Q School 2015

Postby roy142857

The 2015 Q School will like 2014 offer 8 tour cards for the following two seasons, and a ranking list will determine invitations to Pro Tour tournaments that lack a full entry list in 2015/16..

A new venue for 2015 however as it will be held at Meadowside Leisure Centre in Burton, Staffordshire.

Entry fee still £600, players have to enter at www.wsplayers.com by the closing date of 6th April

Where is the list of participants published?

Gutted that Ant Parsons has not entered again, crying shame really.

Thanks for that, some quality names there gonan be a difficult Q school this year.

Wonder which pro's that fall off will enter...I know Elliot Slessor has confirmed he will enter if he doesn't get a new tour card via the EOM, but he won't know until next week so I guess there must be an extension until after the World Quali's has finished

I see Alex Davies name is already down. Dave Harold would be interesting as he hasn't entered the worlds. May be retiring?

I could give you the lowdown on Dave Harold but not on here - been accused of heresay once already today so don't think this is an appropriate forum for it. If you are on Twitter I will give you the info mate.

Last I heard was that Robin Hull will enter Q school if he can't stay on tour.

Lets hope so - playing half a season per year and he almost earns a tour card, he has incredible talent

There will be a few more when the pros fall off the tour.

I think some people have got a bit more realistic and so you aren't getting the likes of Tony Knowles chancing their arm anymore.

If there is a continued decline of entrants, I'm sure there will be a clamour to have q school events elsewhere in the world.

Good luck to the Cream of Devon

Interesting to see Andy Hicks & Dessie Sheehan amongst the young hopefuls there...

Sanderson Lam & Martin O'Donnell won the EBSA play-offs this week, and gained 2yr tour cards, so will not need to go through Q-School; Asam Duffy had a disappointing week failing to qualify for the Crucible, & losing in the EBSA, so presumably will be adding his name to the list in due course...

QSchool entry has been extended to April 22nd!

There are now 155 entrants (though as pointed out, some have already qualified for the main tour via other routes)

New names include Reanne Evans, Josh Boileau, Adam Duffy and Ben Harrison.

A quick look at the current pros that will drop off tour after WC show that only 3 have entered qschool at the moment.

Alex Davies, Lee Page and Chris Norbury. I might have missed some though

Entries have now closed - 166 in total. Might be a few more added when their cheques have cleared!

Besides the 3 I mentioned previously, current pros set to lose their cards that have entered are:

Elliot Slessor
Alex Borg
Alexander Ursenbacher
Hammad Miah
Ahmed Saif
Marcus Campbell

The highest ranked players not qualified for next year yet to appear on the list are Dave Harold, Andrew Pagett, Lyu Haotian, Igor Figueiredo, John Astley, Jak Jones, Andrew Norman and Ratchayothin Yotharuck.

I believe Andrew Pagett has given up.

Heard the same about Andrew Norman.
