With 7 to a group there have been more matches of course, so that's part of the reason for more breaks.

Has there ever been a Pakistani player on the Pro Tour ? 2012 Champ Muhammad Asif didn't get enough funding I think, and I can't recall 1994 Champ Mohammed Yousuf being in the Pros, played one invitational according to Cuetracker, losing 5-0 to Nigel Bond.

Would be good if WPBSA invited the amateur champion to the next WPBSA World Championship regardless of whether they took up the Pro place on offer.

Shokat Ali? I know he was born in England, but he represented Pakistan throughout his career.

His best performance was the 2001 Thai Masters, where he reached the quarter finals, beating Ronnie on the way

With the World Championships now expanding to 144 players, I think there would be a good chance that the winner will get an invite

I'd forgotten about Shokat Ali, yes did compete as Pakistani, wonder if he's seen that way in Pakistan.

Wondering if IBSF have got Yán Bĭngtāo's age right, only 14 ?
