Niu Zhuang is a no show

Strange how we knew he wouldnt be there but nobody has informed World Snooker John Sutton is sitting there like a lemmon waiting for him to appear.

Duffy has got Shane Castle so no guarantees there. That's a tough section with Sandi Lam, Rhys Clark, John Sutton, Liam Highfield, Nico Elton, Li Yan and ....Mike Hallett. It'll be interesting to see who comes out of that one, it's wide open.

During the last season Ben Jones had a 4-3 win against Matthew Stevens in The Paul Hunter Classic.

It was probably to avoid the next match starting very very late.

Re: Q School 2014

In action this afternoon is Li Yan a player that turned professional in 2011 through Q School beating Tony Knowles, Vinnie Calabrese Kyren Wilson and David Gray to do so.

He had a Very good first season on tour reaching the last 32 of the UK Championship with wins over Jack Lisowski and Fergal O'Brien before losing 6-3 to Shaun Murphy.

During his debut season he beat John Higgins, Judd Trump, Mark Williams and compatriots Liu Chuang and Whitewashed Xiao Guodong 4-0. But then he found the going getting tougher with losing his first match in 8 out of 10 main ranking events during his second season and despite a great Run in the World Championship where he got to the final qualifying round the next season Xiao Guodong had an emphatic revenge beating him 10-1 so he ends up back in Q School after 3 years on Tour.

Simon Bevz coming up at 4pm, this will be his fourth qschool.

In his previous 3 years, he lost all 9 matches that he played 0-4 (he did have 1 walkover "victory")

Will he win a frame this year?!

So basically he was crap in his day and his past it now, ergo losing to Steadman?
