If Wakelin and / or Hammad Miah make it to the venue for the Wuxi Classic, the English Snooker Under 21 Championship final between them may have to be played at a different time to 'finals weekend' on 15th and 16th June ...

Re: Q SCHOOL 3

All been pretty interesting and unpredictable, shame we didn't have any streaming though!

All over for the year for most of the losing players, but Jeff Cundy, Rhys Clark, Michael Collumb, Gareth Allen, Duane Jones and Alex Taubman get one more shot via the European Championship (and maybe one more Scot too - don't know if they'll replace Ross Muir).

Or maybe Cundy, Clark and Jones will enter the Wuxi Classic and Australian Open and skip the European Championship?

It did... some way to lose/give up your chance to become a pro.

Re: Q SCHOOL 3

Does anyone know how Wicheard's cue snapped in half? I mean, did he get frustrated and give it a whack that split it?

Andy Spark wrote:Does anyone know how Wicheard's cue snapped in half? I mean, did he get frustrated and give it a whack that split it?

Apparently he dropped it last week and got it fixed then during the match he was leaning on it and it snapped.

the guy played very well to get top of the Q School Rankings and almost got on tour with it but it must have been very brittle for a guy of the weight of Adam Wicheard to Snap it by leaning on it......much more plausible if you had Stephen Lee leaning on it.

Chris Wakelin was leading by a frame and some points at the time, so shouldn't take anything away from him.

Wakelin's interview at World Snooker gives his perspective on this - http://www.worldsnooker.com/page/NewsAr ... 43,00.html

Re: Q SCHOOL 3

im not saying it didn't happen like that its just it seems far fetched to say the least ive dropped cues ive sat on cues ive leaned on cues and it would need something very forcefully to snap mine.
