Andrew Rogers, Adam Wicheard, Gareth Green, Oliver Brown, Marc Robertson, Darren Cook, Lee Page or Josh Boileau will be gaining a main tour place.

the only player to play on the Main Tour is Adam Wicheard who turned pro for 2010/11 season and he beat Judd Trump and Graeme Dott in PTC Matches during his first season but he didn't do enough to stay on tour so he entered the inaugural Q School in 2011 and got back on tour in Q School 1 of that year but yet again he didn't do enough to stay on and dropped off again and Back to Q School where this time he failed to gain his Tour place Back.

this year he enters his 3rd Q School series and is 3 matches away from the Main Tour.

Re: Q SCHOOL 1

one of Matthew Day, Dylan Mitchell, Hammad Miah, Joe Steele, Anthony Harris, Shane Castle, Kishan Hirani or Craig Barber will be on the Main tour with a 2 year card.

Anthony Harris first turned pro in 1987/1988 season and although for most parts he was Strugling in the qualifying rounds, his best result was reaching the Last 32 of the Mercantile Credit Classic a tournament won by Doug Mountjoy in 1989 but lost in the Last 32 to Tony Chappel 5-1.

He Left the tour after the 1996/1997 season but played in the 1999 World Championship pre qualifying round but lost in the 2nd of 5 Rounds to Keith Boon 10-6.

after that he turned his back on snooker and went in to the printing business where he ended up Managing Director of the Birmingham Based Eltom Print.

Then he got back in to Snooker and entered the Q School in 2012 where he won 1 match in 3 events he did not play in any of the PTC Events but did give the Snookerbacker classic a go where David Gray beat him to reach the Finals but he has decided to Give Q School another Go this year, tonight he plays Shane Castle in a battle of generations.

Be good to see Robbo's brother on tour wouldn't it?

Quite a lot of surprises so far with the likes of Oli Lines and Sam Harvey going out early to add to those already. It's really hard to predict who will qualify from each group.

Maybe it would be better to play 3 Events with 2 Qualifiers from each event= 6 players then the Top 6 consistently on the Order of Merit gets in.

Castle is younger but Slessor is young. I've seen Slessor a few times and he's the real deal. In PTC4 last time he was 3-3 in the last amateur round with winner to play Ding on the stream and he took it by the scruff and dominated the decider in very impressive style and then put in a good performance against Ding so he's definitely one of the Q School favourites.

Spot 1

Elliot Slessor Slessor best performance this season must have been taking Ding Junhui in to a decider in UK PTC 4
Sanderson Lam for me Sanderson getting this far is a surprise prior to this week hes only won 6 frames all season in 4 PTC he played in
Chris Wakelin another surprise his only Pro outing was in UK PTC 3 This season where he lost his only match to Ricky Norris 4-3
Jeff Cundy played in the Australian Open this season as a Amateur losing out 5-2 to Martin O'Donnell and has had a very ordinary PTC Series.

Spot 2

Mitchell Travis Michell only played in 1 PTC This season losing 4-2 to Callum Downing
Raymond Fry Fry has only played in 2 PTC Back in 2010 and nothing else since before this week
Alex Davies Alex was a regular on the PIOS Since 2003 and played a few PTC Prior to this season but hes only played 2 PTC During this campaign with his best result a Last 128 in the Paul Hunter Classic
David Morris Ex Pro David Morris is hoping to get back on tour after a year out where he didnt pick up his cue in any PTC Events.

Re: Q SCHOOL 1

Postby Roland

Sandi is a great lad and I'd love him to qualify but I can't see past Slessor for that section now. Davy Morris has to be favourite for spot 2.

Because of the 128 structure good chance if robbo j makes it we could have a all robbo clash in a ranking event

:hatoff:

and vinnie also on tour

Surely you don't want all the Aussies to knock each other out too early?

the draw is good i think but ive never seen him play but he is a scrapper i think judging by live scoring he does win a lot of close frames.
