Tony is looking for revenge. He has only just recovered from losing 10-6 to Mike in the first round of the 1987 World Championships.

although Hallett and Knowles turned Pro together i still think of them in a different era .

Tony was at his best earlier in his career in the early 80s where as Mike Hallett was late 80s in to the 90s.

I spotted the name Gary Wilson who was the prominent junior in the Newcastle area a few years ago. I fully expected him to be top 32 by now but according to Mike Dunn who knows him well he couldn't cope with the tour tables because he developed a bad habit of putting unwanted side on the white when hitting centre ball. He got away with it on club tables but was found out on the professional tables where the side throws a lot more. So he's been on tour I think a couple of times but dropped straight off again.

It'll be interesting to see if he has sorted this out because as a 13 year old he seemed destined for big things and it's still not too late.
