Great to see players from the Middle East Q Tour series making a impact on the play offs

Both have been around for a while and competitive at least with top non-tour players, but as you say, good to see the reality.

Quite pleasing to see broader range of European players emerging too, only Boiko still in this but Kowalski, Nuessle and Dikme all held their own. Interesting to note European under 18s final today between Bulcsu Revesz and Vlasislav Gradinari who've at least been fairly competitive on Q Tour.

Latest Scores:

Born 1976. Twice a pro without much impact, some signs he might actually be a better player now than then. Snooker can be strange that way!

I did his Best of 19 final qualifying match. He played very well. Boiko was 2 nil up, misses a black off its spot and kinda changed the match. Goes 5-2 down, reduces to 5-3 and maybe should have made it 5-4 at the end of the 1st session but went 6-3 down.

2nd session he played well but left it a bit too late as he went 9-5 down, recovered well to only 9-8 but it was a mountain to climb and Amir duly won the match in the end. He was very happy afterwards as you would expect.

Duane Jones wins the decider against Liam Davies and Mohammed Shehab beats Chang Yu Kiu 10-8.

The organisers cime in for some stick but i think they deserve credit for the Q Tour and playoffs. Match lengths in this make it feel like a proper achievement to qualify for the tour

Amir Sarkhosh, Duane Jones and Mohammed Shehab win their matches and book their places on the main tour next 2 seasons.
