Asia-Oceania Q School 2 !!!

So Thanawat Tirapongpaiboon Has returned to the pro ranks and for the first time Muhammad Asif is going to be playing on tour thee is another Chance for Dechawat Poomjaeng and the other 67 players to do the same.

Lim Kok Leong of Malaysia drew Luo Honghao in both events. Tough draw on paper, but then he gets a bye in both. Lucky fella.

I've watched a couple of the matches. Sarkhosh and Thor were a lot better than their opponents, but neither looked near pro standard (yes, I know Thor has been a pro, just not quite sure how or why, I've never seen him play at a high level)

Asif looked very good in Q1. I think he could make an impact.

Tirapongpaiboon wasn't amazing. He'll have to play better against decent players.

In Asia-Oceania Q School 1, someone in the chat was demanding an investigation, saying that Poomjaeng let the other guy win.

Personally, I don't think he did. But let's see what happens this time.

Having watched some of that match I would say that the only dodgy thing I noticed was the stream, which could be accurately described as unreliable.

Me neither. I think it was just Poomjaeng being Poomjaeng.

On the thread for that I pisted his shot choices were quirky. Possibly also naive but i don't think he was deliberately bad.

Hamza Akbar out. No return to the tour for him.

Depends how quickly he climbs up the mountains rankings, I suppose.

Pakharin has good technique and he can pot. His cueball control is a bit dodgy.
Tahir is a bit rubbish.

He's a favourite of Botty it's Moti Pakharin.

I've been watching Nader Jahadi against Jefrey Roda. Jahadi is the guy who was a no-show in the first event after winning two matches.
First thing to note is that he's wearing 10 year old grey trainers.
At 3-1 and 42-12 down, 7 reds remaining, he missed a pot and tried to concede, shaking Roda's hand. The ref made him play on though. Roda made 11 and he tried to concede again. The ref made him play and he deliberately missed, leavibg Roda to clear up.

It seems Jahadi has better things to do in Thailand than play snooker.

Whoever asia q school 4 turns out to be may be unlikely to be over here for their championship league debut on 30th June.

The two former pros are streets ahead of their opponents, based on what I've seen.
Anything can happen in a best of 7 though.

Normally, I'd be rooting for the underdog, but I haven't seen anything to suggest Takantong or Jain could give much of a game to pros even ranked around 90-100. Poomjaeng and Lertsattayatthorn have both shown they are capable of competing with the pros, so I'm hoping they will both win tomorrow.

A pity for Rory Thor, as I thought that he could qualify from this. Amir Sarkhosh's results were more dissapointing though, he won only one match in the two events.

It's a great chance for Poomjaeng and Lertsattayatthorn, but let's see.
