Yes, they do. Quite a few of the players that went far in Q1 have lost already so if Bulman cam go on a run here he can put himself in prime position.

Though he’s 2-1 down to Scottish teen Dean Young.

Bulman loses 4-2. Yet another player who did well in Q1 falls by the wayside.

Fang battling to avoid another early exit.

Fang out to Zhen Guan, a 29 year old with no obvious pedigree.

Rory time!

Re: Q School 2019

Kleckers and Rory both in action just now.

What a time to be alive!

Re: Q School 2019

Wee Ben suffers an early defeat. Boiko in action later.

Kamihashi of Japan marches on to the third round, where he’ll meet Austrian Andreas Ploner.

Re: Q School 2019

Alex Ursenbacher, among the pre-event favourites, suffers another early loss, this time to Riley Parsons. He’ll need to win through Q3 to have any chance, as he won’t get an order of merit position.

Yes it's a major shock. Arnie Ursenbacher has so much ability, he should be outclassing this field. QS3 is probably his most difficult draw of the three. He'll have to get past the likes of Sandy Lam, Fang Xiongman, Robin Hull, Zhang Yong, Adi Mehta and Peter Lines.

I’m not sure if he has the attitude or the fight for this kind of occasion. He has more talent than a lot of others but I’m not sure if he can tough it out in this sort of environment. I hope he proves me wrong though.

He has struck me as being far too arrogant

Boiko’s AST is lower than Theppie’s. He’s currently 2-2 with ex pro Zak Surety. I think Q School is too soon for him and Ben but hopefully both benefit from the experience.

Boiko won 4-2

might be too early for him to get on to the tour but what a prospect he is

Re: Q School 2019

Robin Hull was priced shortest of any Q School entrant to qualify at 3/1, but seems to be struggling quite a bit.

We know he's had lots of health issues. It's very difficult to predict how well he plays.

Totten and Akbar both losing today, they’ll need to do the business in the final event to return to tour next season.

Defeat too for Ashley Hugill. Not many players who did well but came up short in the first event are still involved.

Absolutely, the Order of Merit cards are wide open, but those few still in could almost guarantee themselves a spot in this event.

Re: Q School 2019

Davison loses to Taylor, so another player that’s going to need a big final event.

Hicks 2-0 up on Muir in what looked a tough match.

Reanne into a decider against Finbow, a fairly generous draw for her in both rounds but she’s struggled a bit.

Re: Q School 2019

Postby aimlesswandeer

Reanne loses to a 51 year old. Depressing really, she’s not made any significant progress at this level in the past decade. Hopefully the younger generation of ladies can make a better fist of it.

Re: Q School 2019

Kleckers loses 4-0 to Chen. All the losing finalists from Q School 1 are now out, with only Si Jiahui, Lin Shaye and Ian Preece remaining from those that lost in the penultimate round. Those three have the chance to take pole position in the order of merit, if of course they don’t qualify automatically.

squeaky bum time at the top. So close for so many players. 1 frame could make the difference.

Big chance to qualify directly as well. There are some easy paths now with many favorites gone. It looks very open, except for the first quarter with Rory McLeod, who has not lost a frame yet.

Andy Hicks despite his credentials only spend 7 years in the top 32 in 22 years on tour with a career high ranking of 17 achieved in 1995 by reaching the World Championship semi final that year losing to Nigel Bond.

He last played on tour in 2012/2013 he did not enter the first 2 q schools he was eligable but has been ever present since 2015 5 times hes reached the last 16 but never the quarter finals.

I was eyeing up each of the sections and there are a couple of "easier" routes now. Chen Zifan has the first quarter in the bag IMO. Rory may have half a chance.
Second Quarter is between Lin Shaye and Billy Joel Castle

Would be nice to have some new nationalities on the tour if Boiko and Ploner can qualify
