EBSA Championships

Postby SteveJJ

Euro Championship time. Final of the U21's tonight for a tour card.

Iulian Boiko v Liam Graham

Jack Borwick won the U16's and Bulscu Revesz won the U18's although these aren't card winning events.

The men's event is currently in the group stages.

With 3 already qualified for the tour next season competing in the mens event, I wonder what happens to the tour card for the men's event, if two of these got to the final? Cards for both semi final losers or an impromptu play off between them?

Liam Graham just about holds his nerve and takes the frame and match after two missed browns. Boiko missed frame ball pink to extend the match.

Liam Graham 5-2 winner

Also Liam Davies lost. There have been soe pretty good perforances from some of the younger players in this tournament. The tables look to have been playing remarkably well.

It's good to see Shachar Ruberg doing well. He gave it a good go maybe 7-8 years ago and looked a good prospect. Played very well and got close to winning a tour card, but then stopped entering most events. I guess he had to focus on full-time employment.

As most of the non-British players have to do. As soon as they hit their mid-20's, it's unlikely they will be able to make a decent campaign to turn professional. Most of the European professionals we have had recently are from very wealthy families.

Alex Borg. Resistance is futile. He will return to the tour.

Robin Hull back on the tour could be the only chance to see Reanne Evans winning a match on the tour.

Muir back on the tour. We need more Scots on tour. One doesn't even show up most of the time.
