I'm watching, although it's annoying when only one match a day's shown, especially since the matches matter now, being knock out.

Good break and great cannon from the pink to get the last red out. Three good frames in general.

god sakes

OK 45 reds. It would be great! All the reds would get in each others way and you'd really have to think about canons and position. :guinness: Anyway, I thought you were supposed to be on holiday.

Stephen Maguire 2-0 Jamie Rhys Clarke (a)
Noppon Saengkham 0-0 Shaun Murphy

Dominic Dale 4-3 Dechawat Poomjaeng
Heydari Nezhad Ehsan (a) 3-6 Hossein Vafaei Ayouri
Mark Williams 6-3 Joe Perry
Shachar Ruberg (a) 2-3 Ricky Walden
Stephen Maguire 6-0 Jamie Rhys Clarke (a)
Noppon Saengkham 2-4 Shaun Murphy
Kritsanut Lertsattayatthorn (a) 5-2 Mark Davis
John Higgins 5-4 Stuart Bingham

Note: I doubt Walden and Smurph are playing in very slow matches. Live scoring isn't working for this event, so I'm using snooker.org, who in turn are getting their info from Snooker Thailand. Most likely they're not bothering to update those matches.

Edit: They updated a few minutes after <laugh>

And Mark Davis's run in the six reds comes to an end. I have to say I'm surprised it was to an amateur, but I vaguely remember hearing on ES during the group stages that he was national six reds champ.

Quarter Finals

Dominic Dale v Hossein Vafaei Ayouri
Mark Williams v Ricky Walden
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Stephen Maguire v Shaun Murphy
Kritsanut Lertsattayatthorn (a) v John Higgins

Quarters will on at 5am GMT if you want to watch, although I see ES have a highlights programme at 7am for the slightly later risers.

And just a note on scheduling, Murphy and MJW both have matches on the first session of the Shanghai Masters so if either or both make it to the final here on Saturday it might be a bit of tight turnaround. Hopefully it shouldn't bother them too much.

Everyone else will have a match on a later day so should be alright.

Like a lot of Thai players the Thai press have a nickname for him - call him Nook Kritsanut and don't bother with his last name ... like Jamie Clarke and Rory Thor he's playing the Singapore Invitational next week ...

(EDIT - Just to add, he uses the nickname himself as well)

This kid is good, Higgins missed the pink with the rest in the 5th frame after potting a long distance blue.

Dominic Dale 7-4 Hossein Vafaei Ayouri
Mark Williams 6-7 Ricky Walden
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Stephen Maguire 7-4 Shaun Murphy
Kritsanut Lertsattayatthorn (a) 7-4 John Higgins

Surprisingly loss for Higgins but Nook's having a good run isn't he?
