Couldn't be less bothered about that.

70s and 80s were a diferent era altogether, and old men in their 40s and even 50s like Rex Williams could reach ranking event Finals.

Strikingly similar to now in a way Andre - players in their 40s reaching ranking finals I mean.

I know, and I feel embarassed by it.

Glad he proved me wrong on that occasion.

I know it seems ridiculous now but at the time it made sense. With winning back to back World titles in 2012 and 2013 I thought nothing was going to stop him over the longer distances.

He will probably fall agonisingly short of at least one record, I suspect he won't get to 7 world titles.

The debate about who is the GOAT needs to continue not left in no doubt.

I think Ronnie has got at least one more World Title in him. I think he wins it this year.

If he does, it's not outside the realms of possibility he gets to seven.

Would need to get to 6 this year or the most the next.

Once he's past 45, I dont think theres a realistic chance of another one.

He can certainly tie Davis' World titles tally, and Hendry's 18 majors record is not beyond reach either.

Fact is, Ronnie can break all of these records. It's all about his desire. If he wants to, he can still be a front-line contender for the next 20 years.

im sorry but if Ronnie is a front line contender for the next 20 years then the Next Generation of players will be rubbish to the extream

Stephen Hendry's 775 centuries
Definitely. And by averages already.

Stephen Hendry's 11 maximum breaks
Definitely. And by averages already.
In fact, he is already on 12, but it is not included for dodgy reasons.
He will probably exceed Hendry's Major total of 4 (which he shares).
He has a decent chance of exceeding Hendry's WC of 3 (which he shares).

Steve Davis's 28 ranking titles
Good chance

Stephen Hendry's 6 Masters titles
Good chance of equalling.

tie Steve Davis's 6 World titles
Good chance

tie Stephen Hendry's 7 World titles
25% imho

Stephen Hendry's 7 World titles

No. I don't think so. But you never know.

Stephen Hendry's 18 majors
Decent chance.

Stephen Hendry's 36 ranking titles
No chance.

Oldest World Champion in snooker history
I'm gonna say no.

Oops.

None

He will break centuries and ranking titles I think. Total Triple crown events very unlikely and world championship would be very tricky too.

Patience has been the order of the day for Ronnie O'Sullivan's career

a lot of these records were never ever in sight before 2012 esp when he was on a serious drought for 2-2 and a half years after 2009 but he's been chipping them away since then.

World Championship: 45 years, 203 days
Ranking event: 50 years, 14 days

Ray Reardon holds both records.
