Ding can't do anything right at the moment. And these best of 7s aren't helping either.
When you're struggling and low on confidence like Ding is you need to be able to play yourself into a match. That isn't possible in this format.

Although I am happy for Joe Perry, I am also sad for Ding. Everything is going wrong for him.

He posted this after India Open.
It means , here i quote " Lost again , how many times I tripped on my life , I would get back up again every single time i stumble/tripped ! This is nothing for me, i have been through a lot since i were young, this is nothing for me. "

Yeah I really feel for him. I hope he is getting some psychological help.

That Robbo vs Fu match was great! Watched that live from Eurosport. Robbo is a bit of a strange one as he sometimes or usually can play so good.. Fu had some odd errors too, but he is such a player. I would rate him as a "Hong Kongs´s Ronnie O´Sullivan". I was really surprised Robertson managed to beat him. Fair play to him anyway, that was great, and hopefully Neil can keep up that kind of a playing.

Can't stand how snooker is sometimes televised, with close ups of players, yet we have to wonder where the balls ended up after misses.

There's an article in Snooker Scene magazine from last month about this. Unless the director knows his snooker, they can get the video mixing wrong. Who wants to see the ball that's been potted running down in to the ball rack - we want to see where the white is going FFS!!! As usual Clive Everton bang on the money.

Selby goes 2-0 up on Dale but not without a struggle.
With the defense of his World Title just around the Corner i dont think Selby is in the right place confidence wise to get a run in Sheffield.

TV direction of snooker suffers most of all from the assumption that the viewer has ADHD so the picture has to be cut every two seconds to hold interest. Player close ups = the 'human drama' angle. Sport as Strictly Come Dancing. Overused and annoying.
Also on my shitlist:
Hawkeye
Lines drawn on the table to indicate escape routes
Replays that mean you miss the next shot or other interesting thing
Showing a player's friends and family in the crowd 392 times
Dennis Taylor
