What a strange last 16 draw. There's a huge 'imbalance' between the top and bottom halves. Bottom half is wide open. Only Mark Williams has won a ranker.
Yet, the top half is a who's who of snooker!
Assuming Selt wins his game, the average world ranking for top half is 17, while the bottom half it's 42!

Higgins/Trump should be good, also liking the MJW/Highfield match up.

Some good Last 16 matches, obviously Higgins v Trump is the highlight but MJW v Highfield and Robbo v Lines also have great potencial to be good matches. I fancy Oliver Lines to upset Robbo and beat him.

Luca just not a strong enough scorer consistently enough to really be a title contender yet.
Just too many 40s and 50s and not enough 70s and 80s.

the steal in the frist frame can be the decisisce factor now
even though higgins went 1-3 behind that single frame kept him in this match

That's a cracking line up for a PTC quarter finals!
Looking at the 'live' rankings on snooker.org, Luca is currently provisionally ranked at a career high of 49.
Psychologically, breaking into the top 50 is significant.

Luca lost 4-1. Disappointing. But credit to Jimmy Robertson - he's only been in one PTC semi before, so this is a big deal for him.
