I don't know how Trump played against Williams, but he was on fire against Ford and Un-Noon! Someone who was also on fire was Ben Woolaston with his 147. Shame that his match was on the opposite site of the crowd.

Our guy João Grilo lost 4-1 to Michael Holt, as expected. Grilo became the first portuguese guy to win a frame in a pro tournament match :hatoff: (the other two times we had guys in the last 128 they lost 0-4).

Don't really know how the rest of the matches went, but there were some odd streaming choises: Ebdon vs. some-guy instead of Ricky Walden's match and Hawkins vs. Higginson instead of Trump vs. Williams (but I get it, because that they started kinda late for TV).

Tomorrow I'll be at arena all day long and it's going to be awesome! However, I don't know who thought it was a good idea to have Rod Lawler's first match start only at 2 pm. If he wins all rounds he's going to be playing until 2am! <laugh>

Not much interest on this one is there in here.. :td:

I've enjoyed so far, very good event, Trump v MJW match went down the wire and it was a very enjoyable one. I'm also fully enjoiyng this event for some other reasons I don't really want to explain here, but suffice to say watching most of this 128 top players from the Tour is someting special. Hopefully more to come tomorrow and on Sunday.

Back him for the World Title, because by Sunday Night he will be about 4/7 to win This season's worlds. I expect at least 3 maximums from Selt on Sunday, and at least 2 more at next week's German qualifiers.

Well Selt has cue snd some chalk !!!!? J!!!!!!!
Anything is possible .in this game.

I must admit it does make me smile how hevwas 6 nilled in the uk and subjected to a 147 clearence
And he has come here and done Dotty.

This guy has resolve , And I know he has been around a while as GJ always supported him.

If he can do Dotty 4 - 1 then he is better in qualifiers and lower profile tournaments.

I mean it wont be long before hemakes the breakthrough in a higher profile tekevised event.

He must have been gutted last week to not show his true game in the uk.

I remember watching Mark Selbys face when ros 147ed
The deciding frame in tge maplin uk a while back.

Snooker is a cruel game but the trick is to never bemoan your luck because it always comes round again .

I meant to watch last night but when I got in I was so cold I ate my dinner and slept on the sofa and missed
The snooker.

Hence why I am up and about posting on here at sill o clock !!!!!!!!!! J!!!!!!!!!

Judd has good chance to win , Also Ebbo is still in so lit will be interesting.

Gutted Dotty lost .
He is due a good run in a tournament any time soon.
Just misses the odd pot here and there from what I have seen.
I love to watch the derermination on his face and when he is playingcat the top of his game he is so good.
I mean his workd final with ebbo was determination over attritional matchplay snooker.

You need a lot of resolve to defeat Ebbo in a world final when he was playing hard tough snooker.

I like to see all the styles in snooker as it keeps the gane watchable and multi faceted .

I will be watching today hoping to see some good play

I take it he was lucky then , Mind you he was a little unlucky in the decider on sunday.

Yeah, he really had O'Sullivan on the ropes, didn't he?

He could be a good shot for the worlds next year.

Re: Lisbon Open (European Tour 5) Discussion !!!!!

Oh! For sure and he is a contender for the next years
Worlds as you rightly say.

Its never a case of iif he will win a world crown it ks just a matter of when .

He is a talented young player and is getting more experienced sll the time.

No change there then.

Well, I don't know what his record in deciding frame matches is.

He does seem to lose a lot of those matches.

Trump won 47% of his deciders. So less than half.

I meant more about him being jammy.
