He beat some big names there. Witz will be on in a minute to tell me I should change my name from SnookerFan.
That's one (relatively small) downside to the wealth of tournaments these days. Sometimes a lesser known player can come in, have a decent run in a tournament and it passes you by a bit. That or you just forget about it.
Let's hope he can give Ding a game.
possibly the best Amateur in the world at the moment a bit unlucky he got drawn Ding who has something to prove.

I'd like to see Ding win this PTC. Though, he's proved he can win in Asia these days. That's not in doubt any more.
If anything he needs to win a few events in the UK. That's where he seems to be struggling at the moment.

he wouldn't want to lose a match in this event having failed to get to Wuxi.

That passed me by as well. I didn't really follow the Wuxi early rounds.
Damn, that'll disappoint him. Especially in Wuxi.

Liu Jiaming who gave Zhou Yuelong a tough game has entered 5 previous Asian Tour events without winning a match and only 6 frames and the only pro hes played is John Higgins losing unsurprisingly 4-0
Zhou Yuelong wins 4-2

Lin Shuai who is 3-1 down to Craig Steadman has had a few good wins against professionals and has beaten Jimmy White twice in two meetings in Asian Tour events.

Oh you weren't there? It went extremely well. Ding did a traditional Chinese dance. It's part of his punishment for not qualifying for Wuxi.

Just spoke to him. He was severely jet lagged and had no access to the two practice tables as there were approx 20 players on them lol. He had 4 shots using the yellow as the extent of a warm up. No wonder he was rusty.
