Why does Ronnie always get lower ranked opponents in his first round matches?
Does Clive Everton bribe the people making the draw?

TWITTER ATTACK!
Dennis Taylor @dennistaylor147 Man U back to winning ways on Sunday at Goodison. Hope I'm with John Parrott in the commentary box. Big Blue John!!
Sounds like he's gone senile, and forgotten what sport he commentates on.

Joe Perry 2-0 Zhang Anda
Ronnie O'Sullivan 8-3 Craig Steadman
this match could have easily been at 6-5

He's also had Stephen Maguire twice, Ding Junhui and Marco Fu.

Indeed. I can't remember any other player choking more times than Steadman has in a single match.

True.
Though, to be fair, the first round with Ding was fortuitous timing. Coming a couple of months after
that match.
But yeah, Mags aint a mug and Marco Fu does have a good record against him. Wasn't that the match Ronnie made a 147, but lost.

Absolutely
Ronnie took this match for granted and its Justified Steadman has not performed. had Steadman risen to the Occasion Ronnie would be in trouble.

How are his shoes? More comfortable? Maybe he should have borrowed Judd's spikey ones.

Ronnie was pretty grim last year, but he got to the final.

This is only increasing my optimism that Matthew Stevens can have another good tournament this year

Yeah he can improve, whereas Steadman won't get that chance.
Hopefully this wont make the MSI.

Ronnie knows he can keep missin,it won,t make much diffrence,he knows Steadmann will keep messin up,besides,he,s 8-3 up,the damage has been already done, there,s no way Ronnie will lose from this position, not the way Steadmans playin.
