Looks like Williams in a snooker, because he's given away 8 points to Poomjaeng.

Yes, as been said already, probably the 2nd most exciting event of the year behind only the Big One.
You can't beat the drama and excitment these Best of 19s have.

Have to go to Ponds Forge one of these days, but I also use this time of year to get work done I won't be doing because of the main event...

Andy Spark wrote:BTW The first time I saw Jimmy White play live was at the World Teams Championship in Bournemouth in the 80's. How about you? I have seen him play many times. You say Jimmy's positional play was "the best". This is a joke, the close control of Steve Davis was vastly superior.
My apologies. I assumed from the quality of your posts that you were about 12 or 13 years old.
Since you ask, I first saw Jimmy play in the first round of the 1981 world championships where he nearly beat Steve Davis.
Davis's positional play in the balls was not superior to White's. Davis played a very conservative
"chip out a red at a time" sort of style. Jimmy was one of the first players to try to break out reds with other reds.
Now run along back to the school playground, you hammer.
