When I was at The Masters one year, my mate wanted one of those commentary ear pieces. They had the same problem.
At one point I heard Dennis Taylor say, "He's gay, isn't he?"
I never knew who he was talking about.

You should be banned. Not for saying I'm gay. But anybody who calls Dennis Taylor accurate clearly has emotional issues.

I think the word you are searching for is "evidence", not "evident". But as you correctly suggest, if Smart is too ashamed to use his old name, then we should respect that.
