i am eager to see how ronnie will perform and how his frame of mind will be. another decider loss after missing match ball would be fatal
Yes, there are no excuses anymore. The time has come now to play himself into great form and justify the ambitions of becoming a World Champion for the sixth time.
You have to exclude China from there.
Here he should try and play well, even if he doesnt win it, like at German Masters he played very well but lost, that I dont mind. What I mind is silly performances like at Welsh Open, but he won't do that here I think.

Currently Selt is the stronger player. Unbelievable how much Matthew improved and how Barry's form plummeted these last 6 months.

No real reason why it couldn't have been best of 11.
The only reason its 7 is because from the quarterfinals its one table

Methinks there is some rather painful scars still from the defeat to Bond in York in November. With the exception of the PTC in Lisbon the only last eight appearance since York is in the Championship League and he's only defeated one top 16 player since January 6th

What about Ebdon's 12 in 5 minutes against Ronnie at the Worlds a few years back?

He's completely destroyed Ronnie's rhythm.

The solution for Ronnie is simple though: don't let the opponent get to the table
