im not so sure. still not convinced with this 'next generation'.
I think the next generation is fine: Robbo, Selby, Murphy, Maguire, (Ding)
It's the generation after these guys that are the problem. Trump is the last young player who broke through and that's 4 years ago.

Doubt he will. Even the way he's playing this tournament won't be enough to stop the likes of in form Robbo, Selby or ROS in the latter stages.

Barring an inspired comeback, it's looking more and more like a straightforward Higgins win.

they are great players but robbo, selby and smurph only have 1 wc, for their age i think its poor. trump may come good and luca has stagnated the last 2 years aside from this tourney.

I think they were just unfortunate to play in the same era as your and my favourite player. Ronnie and John are insatiable when it comes to titles and they don't like to share

7-3 Higgins.
Ben has to aim to make the MSI first, and then see where it goes from there...

Everything is going wrong for Ben since Higgins fluked the green in frame 8.

Higgins is 7-3 in front without playing particularly well but he has that self believe back that makes him so dangerous.

What a sad state of affairs this tournament has turned into. It's like it's become the China Open.

Yes, poor chap probably thought Ronnie might at least do well at defending his title rather than a cheating has-been vs rookie final lol

Usually when I forget to say it, the other player starts getting snookers back.

Ben looks gone. Anything remotely difficult isn't going in. Looked like that since Higgins's fluke in frame 8.
