why such disadvantage. why not play right after the first semi final
trump was flat in the first session of the uk final because he came from a last finish the day before

Terrible... How can you lose to Ben Woollaston in a ranking semi?

Well done to John for his 26th ranking title. He can't lose this. Woollaston was even choking when the table was the most straightforward table you could ever wish.
Even if Woollaston goes like 8:6 up, I expect Higgins to win it. By the far worst final of this season.

anything but that

Woollaston can't win tomorrow. If he was capable of winning ranking titles he'd have managed it years ago, he's just another Mark Davis like journeyman.
Even though I hope he does win.

This makes brecel's defeat even more disappointing. He would have had a great chance against Ben.

It is yeah no doubt.
Higgins cant lose it can he.. even with his C game will probably be good enough.
And yeah even if somehow Ben got to 8 frames, he would start choking badly.
Higgins will probably win 9-4 or 9-5.

Yep, even Brecel-Woollaston or MJW-Higgins would have been more preferable.

Yup.
Brecel v Williams would have been a classic
Williams v Higgins would have been a classic
Brecel v Woollaston had potential as a close match
Higgins v Woollaston will be dire and one-sided

Absolutely.
Just gutted right now, heartbreaking loss really
really wanted MJW to win this title, ok against Higgins would have been so tough but losing to Higgins is no disgrace in a ranking Final.

to call ben a journeyman is a bit harsh. still very young. won ptc. cues like paul hunter but consistency is his problem
i would have taken a selby victory at the welsh but not higgins

He as tested by Luca though and responded.
But yeah had he faced a Selby, Robbo or Ronnie he probably wouldnt have been here in the first place.
Nevermind, not his fault he got an easy draw on paper at least.

Well Walden was ranked 30 something and beat Ronnie in 2009 Shanghai who was WN1 at that time so...
