Mark Allen making a sly jibe at O'Sullivans school fees comment from that world championship... 2 years.

A lot of people who come to see Ronnie play are Ronnie fans, not snooker fans.

Not quite, what he said was closer to what I wrote. Distinction there, especially the live spectators bit. I've seen it myself.

That 4th frame will prove pivotal in the outcome of the match as I'll be very surprised if Higgins wins it now.

Allen probably meant in general, he just wasn't specific enough.

Well, if he said some, he wouldn't be that much wrong because there are indeed certain fans who would fit into that category. But it's still wrong to only relate to Ronnie. There are tons of Hendryfans as well to just mention another player.
However. Allen is a strange guy sometimes. I've read some of his comments over twitter and he always seems to be having a dig at Ronnie.
He fully respects him as a player, appreciate his skills but keeps repeating that he doesn't really like him as person. Well that's up to him obviously but these two don't really seem to get along well and you always have the feeling that there is some envy in it.

Yes you're right, and some hendry-fans for instance or even some of Selby's
better not even start there...
It's just that they only relate to Ronnie, but there are fanboys all around.

Higgins all over the place now, as I expected after the loss of 4th frame.
Still early days, but that frame will be vital, Higgins wont win the match.

I don't read Allen on Twitter but I can only assume his dislike stems from comments O'Sullivan made about Allen after Allen sent 'Old Man Rigsby' packing in the 2009 Worlds.

Well ROS is the most popular so he's got more fanboys than everyone else, which is why his fanboys gets mentioned a lot.

Yes true. The more successful and popular a sportsman is, the more fanboys he has. Same with Roger Federer, Rafael Nadal, Cristiano Ronaldo or Lionel Messi. It's natural.

Don't know what comments Ronnie made about him but I think, Allen dislikes him because he doesn't like the media hype around Ronnie. I think, he also mentioned this once. But if this is the reason, he needs to grow some balls. If he was as successful and popular as O'Sullivan, the same would happen to him.

Ive never heard one Hendry fan say the game is dead without Hendry.
With respect im sick of hearing that sort of comment from some element of Ronnies Fans which i have on good Authority that Ronnie himself detests.

The game nearly died WITH Hendry.
Without him it received a new lease of life.

Maybe not on this forum but I've seen tons of Hendryfanboys in a lot Snookerforums who were totally disrespectful against other players and speaking about them like they were nothing. They had a extremely arrogant attitude.
But yeah look, I'd not deny that Ronnie has the biggest fanboy rate in Snooker but it's natural. Huge success+popularity= more fanboys.
But you can never blame the players for that as you also wrote. They are just doing their job and trying to be as successful and entertaining as possible.

What do you think, is it more reasonable to make snooker with last red or with yellow as Higgins did? Finnish commenator was wondering why higgins did not make snooker with last red. To me it seems obvious: player still needs to pot the black after the final red, and this gets hard after one tries snooker with last red.

I thought pot red, black and yellow, and then snooker behind brown from the green.
