I sometimes get Stuart Carrington and Craig Steadman mixed up too
Probably because of their initials.

Cant believe that Hamilton v Steadman still going after almost 6 and a half hours and 1 frame did not get played.

Got to feel for Steadman really, fought back well and lost a tight decider after that epic.

This is why I'm not a fan of these "129" matches where 1 plays 128, 2 plays 127 etc because it essentially provides unless the two ends meet (i.e a top eight player on an off day against an amateur playing well) it gives the top seeds an easy passage to the second round.
I know it's for just the one tournament but I do think it should be done by a draw like all the other tournaments.

I agree with you - but the beeb want the stars guaranteed for telly stages.

I don't mind it as long as it is just for one tournament. But I don't think they should have it for this event. Maybe the Welsh Open with its best of 7s would be much more suited for this kind of draw format.

And that's the whitewash completed in straightforward fashion. Will have the winner of Burden v Wakelin next.

And looking like an early night on the streamed tables, Walker goes 4-1 up. Hopefully Angles will make it a match soon.

Walker has gone up a gear after the MSI. Two one visit frames to go 5-1 up on Angles.

Not many close matches at all this session so far. Only Wakelin v Burden which is level. The rest are 3-1 or more one sided.
